These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Alertpage.ai and its related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Alertpage.ai is a real-time incident detection and notification platform that uses artificial intelligence to transcribe, classify, and geo-locate incidents derived from publicly broadcast police, fire, and EMS radio channels. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

2. Not For Emergencies

The Service is provided for informational purposes only and is not an emergency notification system. Do not rely on the Service for life-safety decisions. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person, or use the Service to target an individual based on incident data.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its accounts, or its underlying systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the Service except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute incident data, audio recordings, or other Service content without our prior written consent.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or to train machine learning models without authorization.

5. Incident Data and Accuracy

Incident transcripts, classifications, and locations are generated by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions, or delays. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any incident data, and you should independently verify any information before acting on it.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the compilation of incident data, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase and Mapbox) and may link to or interoperate with other third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services.

8. Beta Features

Some features may be offered as beta or early-access features. Beta features are provided "as is" and may be unstable, change frequently, or be discontinued without notice.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alertpage.ai and its operators, affiliates, and contributors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we are headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction.
